Today was a good day. The morning started off slowly. I didn’t want to get up since I had a hard tome getting to sleep last night. Hubby got up, ate and left to work on the nursery with his friend Chris. When I did wake, we passed the non stress test with flying colors and I made a new hat. My L&D nurse who is also admitted is being induced Monday so I called and asked her to come by. I made a hat for her little girl and wanted to give it to her she talked with me for a bit then headed back to her bed. Momma-in-law came by with dinner for the next few days, then Terri and her husband Chris stopped by bearing gifts for baby boy. (Thank you Terri and Kari). Kayvan and Chris came back with groceries and we all talked for a bit as everyone watched me make my second hat of the day. Then they all left.

Here is where you stop reading if you don’t want TMI.

I got up to use the restroom and noticed there was blood on the pad on my bed. As I said “shit, kayvan…blood.” I felt a huge gush. The nurse was just coming in with the dinner she heated for us and immediately jumped to action and got me back in bed, on the monitors and called the doc. Baby was happily thumping along in the monitors, I had no pain whatsoever, the resident came to check on me and reported back to the doc. The nurse shoved an IV in my left arm (I’m left handed) just in case they needed it later. Ugh, I know it is necessary but I hate the damn IV and now I can’t crochet, it hurts. The resident came and said that my doctor is not at all concerned, take me off the monitors, I still have bathroom privileges and let me eat dinner. I also have an order written to leave my room tomorrow and she said that I can keep it. Glad she is confident everything is okay. I’m back to being afraid to sneeze. I promise though, everyone is OK.
