Day 50: ETSY Store Grand Opening

I’m sure by now all of you are well aware of my crocheting hobby. A formerly hidden talent of mine. Hidden for the simple fact that once it becomes known everyone wants me to make them something. As much as I would LOVE to do that, I don’t always have the time. Now that I have a significant amount of time on my hands in comparison to what I used to, I’m making LOTS of stuff. I now have enough in stock to start an ETSY store as many of you have requested.

To insert a little fun, I decided to kick off the grand opening with a contest!
The contest: Guess my baby’s birth weight!
The prize: A hat custom made by yours truly. You specify the size color and style and I will make a hat for you–adult, child or infant sized.
It is simple. In the comments section of this post, enter your guess for little man’s birth weight. You can only enter one guess per person. If there are any duplicate guesses (example, two people guess 11 lbs 9 ounces (goodness I hope not)) and that weight wins, the first person to have commented with the correct birth weight is the winner. Be sure to check “Notify me of follow-up comments via email.” as that is how I will notify the winner.
Helpful information: I have blogged about baby boy’s weight as estimated via ultrasound. Use that to your advantage. I am due April 19th but the doctors will not let me go to term. I don’t have an induction/c-section date yet but am told that they won’t let me go beyond 34-36 weeks. Of course, baby boy could change his mind and send me into active labor again at any time. I was your average 7 lb ish baby and my husband was a chunker, weighing in at well over 9 lbs.
Deadline: All submissions must be in by February 25th at midnight or 24 hours before baby Romaezi is born, whichever comes first.

Hi Jennifer! Congrats! Not only were you the FIRST guess but the closest guess. You WIN! Kamran was born at 5 lbs 3 oz.
Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this response. I wanted to make sure I could make the hat for you once I sent the announcement. Now, what hat would you like? Adult, child, ears, flowers, bows, frog eyes? Let me know what you would like and I’ll let you know if it is in my repertoire.
