Day 40: 29 Weeks!

Today I am officially 29 weeks pregnant!  We have also safely made it out of January without adding another January baby to the family.  Yahoooo!  I am so looking forward to 36 weeks…March…7 weeks away.  Hoping for smooth sailing from here on out.

I was wide awake yet again at 1 a.m. this morning and rather than start a new book I browsed a few magazines.  Until then I didn’t realize how much I missed my clothes!  Oh skinny jeans, we will meet again!  I woke up and told Kayvan I dreamed about shopping.  How pitiful?!  I do enjoy spending the day at the mall by myself in my own thought on occasions.  I have been making a list of things I’m going to do for myself when I get out of here, am fully cleared and Kayvan can handle the baby by himself for a day.  Of course, the list will continue to grow but here it is for now.

Spend a day at the spa (facial, mani/pedi, the WORKS!)

Get my hair cut – these prenatals work wonders on my long locks but they are getting a little too long and need a bit of a trim.

Go shopping! – This may have to wait until after I can join the gym and loose the baby pounds.

Enjoy a nice steak dinner with the hubby (gotta make up for the missed birthday dinner).

Eat a really good sub – I have never loved sandwiches, actually I have been known to whine when Kayvan insists on sandwiches for lunch.  Well now that I can’t have deli meat I want it!

Enjoy a stinkin glass of wine!

Speaking of subs, the subway $5 foot  long commercial came on TV yesterday.  When lunch time rolled around today, Kayvan said he was going to go heat up my leftover Chipotle and then alluded to the fact that he was going to run out for lunch.  I asked where he was going to go.  His answer?  Subway.  No wonder he didn’t tell me he planned to run out for lunch.  I couldn’t just let that fly because if he is eating something for lunch I want it too…so he is currently off at Panera.  I’m a meanie but he can have subway for lunch when he goes to work again later this week.

The non-stress test took forever this morning.  Baby was sleeping again so the nurse brought me some apple juice.  That helped with the variability but the baby had a few desats so those had to go away before we could call everything okay and take me off of the monitors.  He eventually straightened his stuff out and I came off the monitors.

  1. Congrats on making 29 weeks! You’re over halfway through (if you go 34 weeks, or almost halfway if you go 36!) But glass half-full! 😀

Regarding your lust for sandwiches, to fill the void you should put your leftover chipotle on a bun/roll, then it’s like the southwest chicken sub from Subway! 🙂

  2. congrats on 29 weeks 🙂 I did the same thing with lunchmeat! I never want sandwiches.. but once I couldn’t thats all I thought about!

  3. Yay! 29 weeks, good job! The sub comment made me laugh. In my 3rd postpartum week I had my first Italian sub in probably a year. I only eat that once in a blue moon, but couldn’t wait to have one during the whole pregnancy 🙂

    • Mmmm Italian sub with tomatoes lettuce and hot peppers, totally what I’m getting….in like 8 weeks. Back to reality for this girl. 🙂
